Choose your WhatsApp connection

Official WhatsApp API

Connect through Meta's official setup. Andy's current public offer replies inside Meta's 24-hour customer-service window. Meta's delivered-message charges are separate from your Andy subscription and depend on the message category and recipient market. Check the message-fee guide.

Do not choose this offer expecting Andy to start broadcasts, send appointment reminders outside the service window or run scheduled template campaigns. Those capabilities need their own supported product workflow.

Direct WhatsApp

Link the number you already use by scanning a QR code. This uses an unofficial linked-device connection and carries a risk of WhatsApp restricting or banning the number. Reauthentication may be needed. Read the warning in Channels before choosing it for business use.

Andy does not add Meta API messaging charges to this connection. Your Andy subscription still applies. For an official Meta connection, choose the Official API.

Set up and verify the channel

1. Create an Andy account and activate an eligible Pro trial or plan.
2. Add the business information your agent should use.
3. In Channels, choose Official WhatsApp API or Direct WhatsApp and complete that connection's setup.
4. Send an inbound question from a separate phone. Check the reply in WhatsApp and the conversation in Andy.
5. If you offer appointments, connect Google Calendar, set your availability and check a booking in the correct time zone.
6. Check human takeover and the route back to agent replies. Keep the channel's connection status under review.

Use the channels your customers choose

Answer Instagram DMs on Pro Max or add Andy to a WordPress website. Use the same business knowledge where appropriate. Each connection has its own setup and permissions.
